Our Managing Partners
Jennifer Barrell was an editor with Sourcebooks for five years. For the last three years, she was the division manager of the trade group—acquiring, developing, positioning, and editing titles for the general nonfiction and Landmark fiction imprints. She directed an annual list of more than fifty titles, accounting for more than $8 million in gross revenues, and managed a staff of four editors, as well as numerous interns and freelancers. She has edited more than one hundred books, including the New York Times bestsellers We Interrupt This Broadcast and And The Crowd Goes Wild, as well as Sweet Dream Baby (fiction), City Chic, Male Menopause, On the Go with Baby, The Complete Allergy Book, One True Ocean (fiction) and the novel, Daughter’s Keeper.
Alex Lubertozzi was an editor with Sourcebooks for three years. Initially comanaging the trade group with Jennifer, he took over the Sourcebooks MediaFusion imprint of mixed-media books in 2001. He directed an annual list of six to eight titles, accounting for $5 million in gross revenues, and managed one other editor, as well as numerous interns and freelancers. Before joining Sourcebooks, he helped start a small press as a division of a nonprofit foundation (High Tide Press), publishing professional and trade titles as its managing editor for five years. He has edited more than fifty books, including Poetry Speaks, The Trials of Lenny Bruce, The Second City, Echoes of Notre Dame Football, The Way We Played the Game, Siberia Bound, The Diamond Conspiracy (fiction), My Fellow Americans, and President Kennedy Has Been Shot. He also coauthored two mixed-media books, The Complete War of the Worlds and World War II on the Air.
